Honoring Heroes in an Honored Place

Part of the beauty in honoring heroes, comes from the place we honor them. Keota citizens will celebrate a special first this Veterans Day as they honor their local fallen heroes for the very first time at the Keota Veterans Memorial.

Since this is the first Veterans Day after the memorial’s completion, the Memorial Committee has planned a special ceremony for all to attend on November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

The ceremony will begin with the Keota High School Band playing the National Anthem. Opening prayers and the Dismissal are to be conducted by Father Charles. Before the placement of a wreath by VFW members, veteran and VFW member Carl Sigler will speak. The committee hopes to see as many citizens from the community present as possible to honor those who have served, fallen, and dedicated their lives to the remembrance of those who have.
