Year in Review Story 13: Keota Boosters Helped Pack the Gym

Keota Eagle fans 'packed the gym' Monday, September 10th to support the volleyball girls.

With school back in swing, the Keota Booster Club served up a special night for the volleyball girls and their parents last Monday, September 10th. The main event was the girl’s volleyball game, and the Boosters provided an accompanying Potato Bar, with all the fixing’s, to celebrate the team and their parents.

The constant flow of people in the potato line showed that Mary Pat and Jade Redlinger were doing something right in the kitchen. Members, Traci Waterhouse and Jeff Sprouse tossed the tots, while Molly Sprouse and Shawn Haifley fixed folks up with ‘the fixings.’ Between the full cafeteria and the cheers coming from the Eagle side of the gym, the Keota School was certainly ‘packed’ for a while. The Boosters were pleased with the turnout, and member Jeff Sprouse expressed his thanks for the community support.

“We’d like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the kids. We hope to have a great year.”

Booster member, Rita Sheetz explained that this event was the first of several supporting the players and honoring the sponsors. In fact, as the kick-off event of the year, sponsorships were available for purchase at the entrance. The Keota Boosters offer a variety of Sponsorships ranging from the $25.00 “Purple Sponsorship” to the $300.00 Eagle50 Sponsorship, which includes 50 varsity game punches and up to $25.00 in Keota Eagle apparel. Any sponsors signed up by October 1, will have their names placed on a banner on display in the school.
