Thompson, Johnson, Lawson finish in top 20 at home meet

Keota hosted their annual cross country meet on September 20 in near 100-degree temperatures after having it postponed due to rain earlier in the month. Of the five Keota runners, three finished in the top 20 and all five finished in the top 30.

Paige Thompson had another strong finish for the Lady Eagles, running a time of 25:36 to take ninth place. Frankie Johnson was next to cross for Keota after running a time of 27:34, finishing in 16th place. Jenna Jaeger and Bailey Sieren finished back to back in 25th and 26th place respectively with Jaeger running a time of 28:59 and Sieren finishing with a time of 30:11.

Jayden Lawson was the lone boy to represent Keota and had another strong race. He finished in 16th place after running a time of 22:30.

Keota will be back at it on October 4 when they travel to Montezuma.
