Moeller leads Eagles at Sigourney Relays

JD Stout kicked off a strong leg of the DMR, which Keota ended up winning with a time of 3:49.36. They beat their competition by nearly 12 seconds and set a new personal best in the DMR.

Justin Moeller continued his great season for the Keota Eagles at the Sigourney Relays on April 23. He ended up earning 20 of Keota’s 36 team points, finishing eighth in the standings.

Moeller had several quality finishes including taking second in the 800m run with a time of 2:10.31, less than a second off first. He also placed second in the Long Jump with 20’-2.00” and helped his teams in relay events.

Keota won the DMR with JD Stout, Sam Sieren, Wyatt Sieren and Moeller combining to run a time of 3:49.36, setting a new personal best. The Eagles also placed third in the 4x400m relay with Wyatt, Brady Duwa, Stout and Moeller running a time of 3:59.49.

Wyatt also earned some points with his fifth-place finish in the 200m dash with 24.26 seconds and Duwa earned a point in the Long Jump, placing sixth at 18’-1.00”.

Keota was at PCM for their next competition on April 25 and will compete at the SICL Meet on May 6 at North Mahaska.
