Lady Eagles' trio earns quality finishes at Conference

Jill Schulte finished 18th in the 100m dash and 100m hurdles, running times of 15.40 and 20.92 seconds respectively.

The Fab Five had two of their girls missing in action on May 1, but that didn’t stop the other three from getting some quality finishes at the SICL Conference meet hosted by Lynnville-Sully.

Bailey Baumert got things started in the 100-meter dash, as she ran a time of 15.35 seconds to take 16th place. She followed that up with a 15th place finished in the 200-meter dash by running a time of 31.75 seconds.

Jill Schulte competed in two events, the 100m dash and the 100m hurdles. In the dash, Schulte took 18th with a time of 15.40 seconds and then took 18th in the 100m hurdles, running a time of 20.92 seconds.

The final two events the Lady Eagles competed in were run by Jenna Jaeger. She finished 14th in the 400-meter dash, running a time of 1:17.83 and then in the 800-meter run she ran a time of 3:07.16, finishing in 14th.

The girls were scheduled to get in one more meet at Iowa Valley on May 3 to get ready for the District meet on May 10 in Waco.
