Keota girls again take solace in the small victories

BROOKLYN- On Friday, April 21 the Keota Lady Eagles went to work at the Bear Classic Relays held at BGM High School. Just a few short days removed from the boys taking third, the girls finished seventh in the Class A Female Division. The girls topped Twin Cedars, to notch at least one opponent for the second straight meet. Keota scored 16 total team points, four ahead of Twin Cedars.

            Bailey Baumert ran a 32.36 200 M dash to take sixth place and earn a team point, while Jaime Schulte finished in tenth. Baumert took fifth in the 400 M dash, running a 1:14.53 time, to score additional two-team points.

            In the distance events, Laurie Amos finished in sixth place with a time of 3:27.82, earning a team point. Amos took third in the 3000 M run with a time of 15:24.95.
