Keokuk County voters turn out for primary

Sigourney, Iowa- Voters in Keokuk County had their say on June 5 as they selected their party nominees for the November general election. Official results show that nearly 11% of Keokuk County voters cast ballots in the primary election, similar to turnout in the June 2014 and 2016 primary elections. Results show that 357 Democrats cast ballots, while 378 Republicans cast ballots. An additional 5 Libertarians cast ballots as well. While there were no local contests to be decided, Keokuk County voters’ decisions generally lined up with statewide results.
