Father Frost steals Keota’s Homecoming

Relentless winter seems to have settled with a vengeance in Keokuk County. Although many of us have endured countless, endless Iowa winters, for some reason, each one seems significantly difficult as it passes.

So far, 2019 has blessed the local school children with a record amount of snow days. One could argue that by the time this week is over, even the kids will be ready to go back to class. Already on Monday, January 28th the snow day count had racked up to five.

Keota Superintendent, Jim Henrich commented, “In my career this is the most days we have missed due to weather. As of January 28th, we have missed 5 consecutive days, with more to come it looks like.”
