Boys finish fifth amongst stiff competition at PCM

MONROE- Keota’s boys track team took fifth place with 80 total points on Thursday, April 27 at the PCM H.S. Boys Track Classic on the Class B side of things. Lynnville-Sully won on the day with 177 points, while Colfax-Mingo took second and Sigourney third. Wayne finished 28 points ahead of Keota for fourth. The Eagles did top Melcher-Dallas and PCM the host school.

            Wickencamp got things going with a third place run in the 100-meter dash, however he took first in the 200 with a time of 23.33. Tristan Sypherd finished in sixth place for the 400. Coach Lyle kept out several players to rest up as he says in the following quote, “Thursday at PCM we finished in 5th place out of 7 teams. I rested some guys due to injury from our meet at Eddyville on Tuesday and the upcoming SICL meet next Tuesday.”
